Dr. Gregor Simms was the chief medical officer at the Icarus base.He was the father of Gregory Simms .

Before the Icarus Base incident
Gregor have been exceding too much with his alcoholism,and so he had problems with his wife.His wife;Kimiko was just too upset of Gregor's behavior ,so she planned to divorce from Gregor,but he refused and instead he abandoned their house and went into a motel and spend the night in there.The next day Gregor received the call to become one of the members of the Icarus Project,and went to become part of the group of people that where also chosen to go to Icarus.He didn't informed anything of thsi to his wife and so his wife just thought he abandoned her.What Gregor didn't knew is that his wife was pregnant.She discover the baby on her was a boy,but Gregor,who abandon her ,didn't have knowledge of this,and so he went to the Icarus Base without ever knowing he let a son on Earth .
Gregor on Icarus Base
Lieutenant Tamara Johansen reported to him. When the base fell under attack from the Lucian Alliance, Simms was mortally wounded while helping people on the surface; he suffered from a neck injury during the evacuation and bled out. He died while TJ attempted to revive him. Colonel Young told her there was nothing she could do for him, and they left Simms behind. Since his death the chief medical officer responsibility fell into TJ's hands while they are stranded onboard the Destiny.
