Lazarus Base is a Tau'ri commanded city-ship, previously known as The Tower. It is located in the planet Lazarus, that belongs to the Pegasus Galaxy .

Overview

It was somehow abandoned by the people who reside there,and later it become property of the Stargate Program,which repair the long-time abandoned city-ship and convert it into the powerful Lazarus Base. The program sends a new expedition, to further explore the Pegasus Galaxy and discover new technology in pro of Earth and other planets that need their help.

History

On the year 2020 the Stargate program sends the Lazarus expedition to the Lazarus Base. The base seem abandoned for a long time ago, and thus it's structure and systems where damage or malfunctioning. The ZPM that powered the city-ship was almost depleted, but fortunately the Lazarus expedition brought their very own ZPM, which they used to power-up the base and start operations. But before starting further operations ,the expedition dug into the earth and vegetation that covered the city-ship, altough the scientific contingent of the expedition thought that some areas of the base, like the Auxiliary Control center should remain covered by the vegetation, so they are properly hidden from outsiders. Thus the benefits of having massive amounts of vegetation surrounding the city, like the abundant source of Oxygen the plants are. The expedition also incorporated into the Lazarus Base, some systems from the Destiny, like the showers or the Kino dispenser. In less words the Lazarus Base is Earth's most valuable piece of technology as for now.
